Antique-Industrial PC Build
Some shots of my never-ending sorta-steampunk PC build, the mighty "Turboencabulator." I originally built this thing back in 2011 as a hackintosh/Linux/windows machine with mostly 'used' hardware. The case was scratch built, but I decided to completely redo the whole thing last summer and take some aspects, like cable management to the next level. It's water-cooled using a water pump from a circa-2004 MacPro, that's still going strong. The radiator is a heater core out of a Chevelle I believe. The wood panels are cedar, which I colored using a Japanese technique called "shou sugi ban" (which is just burning the surface and brushing it.) I made full custom cables wrapped in Paracord from scratch. It used to be sort of a steampunk-style build, but now I'm going for more of an early 20th century industrial look, keeping it rough looking, as if it has be used and repaired and modified for years. Hopefully I'll finally finish it soon.. Hardware:
